Detailed Description

Wix WA9742 is engineered as an OE-style engine air filter for compatible Buick Verano and Chevrolet Cruze models, plus the Chevrolet Cruze Limited. The panel design and media construction are intended to maintain airflow while capturing airborne contaminants under everyday driving and harsher road conditions. The WA9742 part number is also referenced by multiple cross-brand listings for the same application, including General Motors 13272720.

This filter uses enhanced cellulose media treated with phenolic resin to improve durability against moisture ingestion. Wix also notes that the filter media provides more surface area than OES filters, and the seal material is selected for heat and cold resistance when applicable. For buyers searching for a Buick Verano air filter or Chevrolet Cruze engine air filter, WA9742 offers a fitment-specific replacement option.

What It Helps Address

• Restricted airflow caused by a dirty or clogged engine air filter.
• Dust and debris entering the intake system during daily driving.
• Moisture-related media breakdown in humid or wet conditions.
• Premature filter wear from temperature swings and demanding road use.
