This is a Lionel 6-18003 O Delaware, Lackawanna & Western 4-8-4 Locomotive & Tender #1501 from 1988. The road number is 1501 and it features Magne-Traction, Pullman motor, puffing smoke from stack, headlight, steam emissions from steam chest, electronic mighty Sound of Steam, electronic whistle and six wheel diecast metal trucks on tender.

First introduced in the early 20th century, the 4-8-4 to rail yards by storm primarily hauling coal and other forms of freight across state lines in the US and rail-ways in various other countries. While later models would improve on the 4-8-4’s limitation, this locomotive still made its place in history as a pioneer of 20th century rail-road industry, and is featured in some museums today as a testament to how far the industry has truly come!

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. One of the step ladders on the tender is broken. The silver rails on the tender have some rust on them, you can only see with light and close up. There are light nicks and scratches on the surface of the shell and chassis.
